Children are important to Jesus. He was explicit in His instructions to His disciples when men would have pushed them aside as unimportant. Children are important to Jesus, families, society, and certainly important to His Church here on earth. When Christ said, “Go, ye therefore and make disciples...” He was not leaving children out. The Gospel message must be conveyed to ALL and we understand that.
Knowing that children's attention spans are shorter than adults, our efforts to present the Gospel is done to be interesting, concise, and to the point. Children are not just important today, they are the Church and society of tomorrow. I doubt many monuments will be erected in our memory, our children are our monuments for the world of tomorrow.
Sunday School
Sunday school classes are held at 9:45am each Sunday morning and kids are divided up by age group. Kids learn about God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit through age appropriate stories and lessons.
Children's Church
Children's Church is available for children between the ages of 4 to 12 years old during Sunday morning’s adult sermon. The goal of children’s church is to teach God’s story and Biblical principles at a level the children will understand and enjoy. Recent studies include The Armour of God, The Lord’s Prayer, Parables of Jesus and currently The Ten Commandments. The children are engaged in the lessons through prayer, Bible reading, story telling, crafts and games. And... they get snacks, which is always popular for the kids.
Children's Bible Quizzing
Wednesday evenings during the 7pm service, children participating in the Bible Quiz program study together and practice their memory verses and lesson questions. For the 2024-2025 season, we are studying the book of Acts.
